The communication workshop was nothing like I expected — in a good way. There was no pressure and no sense that we were being steered toward any conclusion. We left with some simple tools for how to hold a calmer household conversation, and we have used them since. It was worth the afternoon.

My wife and I came in with a disorganised stack of documents accumulated over five years of living in Thailand. Narut was patient and thorough. By the end of the afternoon we had a folder system that my wife and I can both navigate. We have already added new documents to it without needing any help.

We have been members for two years. The quarterly sessions help us stay on top of documents that keep accumulating — work papers, school records, household bills. The guide library is also useful. I particularly like that Homestead never pushes us toward any decisions; the materials are informational and that is what we need.

I brought both my parents and my adult daughter to the conversation workshop. Three generations and quite different communication styles. The session was structured well enough that everyone found something useful without it feeling too formal. The take-home sheet has come up in family discussions more than once since then.

A Closer Look at How Sessions Have Helped
The Starting Point
A Multi-Generation Household New to the Area
A family of five — two parents, two adult children, and a grandparent — had relocated to San Sai. Documents were spread across multiple bags and folders with no consistent order. Family conversations about practical matters were tense and often unresolved.
What We Did
Workshop Followed by a Document Session
The family attended a communication workshop together in March 2025. One month later, the same household booked a document organising session to address the filing situation. Both sessions were educational and administrative in scope only.
What Changed
Calmer Discussions and Found Documents
The family reported finding everyday conversations around household matters somewhat easier to navigate — an outcome they attributed partly to the shared workshop reference sheet. The filing system, by their account, meant that documents were consistently findable within a short time after the session.

The Starting Point
An Expatriate Couple Managing Cross-Border Paperwork
A couple — one Thai, one Australian — had accumulated several years of documents from two countries with no clear system for managing them. They were spending considerable time searching for records when needed.
What We Did
Document Session and Membership Enrolment
A three-hour document organising session created a bilingual labelling approach that worked for both household members. Following the session, the couple enrolled in the annual membership for ongoing quarterly support as new documents accumulated.
What Changed
A Self-Maintaining Household System
Both partners were able to use and add to the system independently after the first session. The quarterly membership touchpoints have kept the structure current as new documents have arrived. They continue as members 18 months later.

The Starting Point
A Solo Parent Household Navigating a Transition Period
A single mother with two school-age children was moving through a period of change and found that her household paperwork had become disorganised during the disruption. She was also looking for a calm, non-pressured space to think through general communication approaches for her family.
What We Did
Workshop and Document Session, at a Gentle Pace
She attended a workshop first, bringing her older child. A separate document session followed when she felt ready for it. Both sessions were conducted at her pace with no pressure to proceed to anything further.
What Changed
Paperwork in Order, Useful Reference for Conversations
Her household documents were reorganised into a simple structure suited to a family of three. She kept the workshop reference sheet at home and found it a useful starting point for conversations with her children about how the family talks through matters together.
